Read the guide: How to Spin a Wheel to Pick a Winner

6 options

How to use it

  1. 1

    Add your options

Type each name or choice on its own line. The wheel redraws as you go, with a colour for each slice.

  2. 2

    Give it a spin

Press spin and the wheel turns, slows down and stops on one slice at random.

  3. 3

    See the winner

The landing slice is called out. Spin again, or remove the winner first to draw the next one.

Frequently asked questions

How many options can I add?
As many as you like. The wheel keeps the slices readable by shrinking the labels as the list grows, and because the spin happens on your own device there is no cap from us. Very long lists still spin, though a name picker is easier to read once you pass a few dozen entries.
Can I stop the same option winning twice?
Yes. After a spin you can remove the winner and spin again, so each draw pulls from the names that are left. This is the usual way to run a raffle where one entry should not win two prizes.
Can I save my list for next time?
Your current list stays put while the page is open, so you can spin over and over. To reuse a list on another day, keep it in a note and paste it back in; nothing is stored on a server, which is what keeps the tool private.
Is the result actually random?
Yes. Picks, spins, rolls and shuffles use your browser’s built-in random number source, so every option has the same chance each time. There is no hidden weighting and no memory of past results, so a run of the same answer is just chance, not a pattern.
Does anything I enter get sent to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. The names, options, images or beats you put in are handled on your own device, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is logged or stored. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working even if you go offline.
