Frequently asked questions
- Are both the lowest and highest numbers included?
- Yes. The range is inclusive at both ends, so a range of 1 to 10 can return 1, 10 and everything between. This matches how people usually think about a draw, where the first and last tickets are both in play.
- What does "no repeats" do?
- With repeats turned off, each number is drawn only once in a single set, which is what you want for a raffle where one ticket cannot win twice. With repeats on, every draw is independent, so the same number can appear more than once, like rolling the same dice again.
- Can I draw numbers without repeats from a small range?
- You can draw as many unique numbers as the range holds. Asking for more unique numbers than the range allows, such as five unique values from 1 to 3, is not possible, and the tool will let you know rather than loop forever.
- Is the result actually random?
- Yes. Picks, spins, rolls and shuffles use your browser’s built-in random number source, so every option has the same chance each time. There is no hidden weighting and no memory of past results, so a run of the same answer is just chance, not a pattern.
- Does anything I enter get sent to a server?
- No. Everything runs locally in your browser. The names, options, images or beats you put in are handled on your own device, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is logged or stored. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working even if you go offline.
