Frequently asked questions
- Can I draw more than one winner?
- Yes. Set how many names to pull and they are drawn together. By default each name can only win once, so a draw of three gives you three different people, which is what most giveaways and raffles need.
- Will it remove duplicate names?
- Lines that repeat are treated as separate entries unless you remove them first, because sometimes the same name really is two different people. If one person should have one chance, clean the list so each appears once before you draw.
- How many names can I paste?
- There is no limit we set. The draw runs on your own device, so you can paste a long export of thousands of entrants and still get an instant, fair result.
- Is the result actually random?
- Yes. Picks, spins, rolls and shuffles use your browser’s built-in random number source, so every option has the same chance each time. There is no hidden weighting and no memory of past results, so a run of the same answer is just chance, not a pattern.
- Does anything I enter get sent to a server?
- No. Everything runs locally in your browser. The names, options, images or beats you put in are handled on your own device, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is logged or stored. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working even if you go offline.
